We will not charge a call-out fee if you live within our ‘free call-out service area’. This is based on a 20 mile radius of Polson. All we ask is a minimum of 1 hour service charge. After 1 hour, our services will be charged in 15 minute intervals.
Our ‘free call-out service area’ includes the following towns, and those in the direct vicinity of:
If your home or office is out of our free service area, you’ll still benefit by getting the first 20 miles of our travel for free, we’ll just ask for a travel rate of 50c per mile outside the 20 mile limit. For example if you live in St Ignatius, which is 28 miles from Polson, the additional service charge will be $4 (ie 28 miles minus 20 miles multiplied by 50c). If you live in Missoula, which is 70 miles from Polson, the additional service charge will be $25 (ie 70 miles minus 20 miles multiplied by 50c).
New Installation/Upgrade policy:
At Geek-A-Roo, we will not charge you a dime extra for any new hardware or software we purchase for you. You can rest assured that the price we pay is the price you pay. We will simply charge our standard service charge for installation, no matter how little or how much hardware we provide you. We will give you full original invoices for your records. And if new hardware fails during its warranty period, we will take care of the replacement.
We offer a full 90-day satisfaction guarantee on all of our workmanship and services. If you are not satisfied, will we provide the service again free of charge during the 90-day period. Although we will always recommend preventative measures on all of our services, this guarantee does not include issues beyond our control.
For example, if we replaced a laptop screen, and after 60 days the screen came lose from it’s mount, it would be covered by our 90 day guarantee. However, if we removed a virus from your computer that was restricting your abilities to use your computer, or risking your privacy, and after 60 days your computer was reinfected, this would not be covered by our guarantee as this is beyond our control and not a reflection of our service.
At Geek-A-Roo, we will do everything we can to backup and restore all of your data. By default we will backup the following areas for all users on your existing computer:
We will however advise this to you, and ask if any further data should be backed up (for example working files for an application that are stored outside the above mentioned locations).
At Geek-A-Roo, we will not be held responsible for any data loss for files that were stored outside of the above mentioned locations, or if we were not aware of these files at the time of collection. We will do everything we can to explain and empower you on this decision before we remove any data, however we cannot be help responsible should this not be taken into consideration.

Geek-A-Roo will always do as much as we can to explain and empower you the customer to understand and make these decisions, please do not hesitate to call us should you require any further information.
During consultation, over the phone communication, and other general means of doing business, we will require limited personal information about you the customer, your computer and miscellaneous other information. We collect this information to serve you better.
We will not, under any circumstances sell, divulge, share or in any other way pass on this personal information to any other person, company or institution other than direct employees of Geek-A-Roo.
Any data we collect from your computer from the relevant services we provide to you (for example operating system reinstallations) will be kept for up to 90-days as part of our 90-day satisfaction guarantee, and to help prevent any accidental loss. After 90-days your data, in its entirety will be digitally and/or physically destroyed using military strength deletion applications. As a consequence to this, unless specifically requested, we will be unable to recover information after this 90-day period has lapsed. Geek-A-Roo reserves the right to destroy collected data earlier than this 90-day period for special cirumstances (for example when highly-sensitive information may be collected). You, the customer can request that our copies of your data be destroyed. In this case the data will be destroyed no later than 48 hours after we receive the request.
Unless otherwise agreed with Geek-A-Roo, full payment will be requested upon completion of our contracted service. If we complete service in your home or office, then we will request payment prior to us leaving the premises. If we have to take the device or computer back to the shop to perform the service, payment won’t be required until the service is complete, and the device or computer is back in place.
We accept payment via Credit Card (VISA, Mastercard, Discover Card, American Express), Check or Cash.
We accept all major credit cards on site for your convenience. We use ‘PayPal Here’ services that includes an credit card reader device that is connected to an iPhone running the ‘PayPal Here’ application. Because of this you can rest assured that all transactions are encrypted using industry standard methods. No credit card information is stored after the transaction is complete.
Receipts can be issued immediately via text message or email. We can also mail you a hard copy receipt within 7 days after service.
NB: You do not need a PayPal account for us to accept credit card payments.
